Today, we will start a fun art project where we create a cute Cat Drawing. This drawing will show a happy cat walking leisurely on a busy street. We can easily capture the cat’s joyful smile by following some simple and organized steps. All we need is a piece of paper, a pencil, and colorful paints. Kids can have a great time making their own special Cat Drawing. So, let’s begin this creative adventure and make a lasting tribute to these lovable companions!
How To Draw The Cat Picture Step By Step
Here is some very easy and straightforward step to draw Cat pictures.
Let’s start by drawing a nearly round nose in the middle of the space between the eyes. Next, create the mouth by drawing some curved lines below the nose. Lastly, add a tongue inside the mouth to make it more playful.
To create the illusion of nose hair, simply draw a few straight lines extending from the nose toward the right side. Likewise, draw some additional straight lines extending from the nose toward the left side. Children will find it effortless to add these details and give their cat drawing a realistic touch.
To draw the cat’s right ear, we will create an almost triangular shape just above the eye with three curved lines and not add the bottom part of the shape. To draw the left ear, do the same work. Look kids, cat ears are made very easily.
Now, we will continue by drawing the lower part of the cat’s face. Follow these steps:
Use curved lines to draw the lower part of the cat’s face, forming a smooth curve from the nose downwards.
Next, we will add some hair to make the cat look even more realistic:
Start from the cheek area and draw hair extending towards the ears on both sides of the face.
Use a zigzag line to represent the texture of the hair. This means the lines should have small, sharp turns, like a series of “V” shapes.
Repeat this step on both the right and left sides of the cat’s face.
Lastly, let’s add some hair on top of the head:
Use another zigzag line to draw the hair on top of the head. Make sure to follow the shape of the head and add small, jagged turns to create the textured appearance.
By following these steps, you will give your cat drawing a more lifelike and detailed look. Have fun!
Now, let’s continue with the next steps to complete the cat drawing:
Draw a thick and beautiful tail extending from the back of the cat. It can be curved or straight, depending on your preference.
Next to the back leg, add another toe by drawing a small line with attention to detail. Remember to include the claws as well.
A little above the first front leg, draw the second front leg of the cat. Follow the same steps as before, using zigzag lines for a furry texture.
To give the cat’s neck some texture, add hair using zigzag lines. These lines will represent the cat’s fur, so make them slightly jagged and irregular.
Take your time while drawing these details, paying attention to the shapes and proportions. Don’t forget to add your own creative touch to make the cat drawing unique. Enjoy and have fun, kids!
Now it’s time to add some colors to bring your cat drawing to life! Here’s how to color it:
Color the cat’s eyes with a black shade. Fill in the entire eye area with this color.
Within each eye, add a small white circle to represent the eyeballs. This will make the eyes look more realistic and alive.
For the nose, use a pink color. Fill in the area of the nose with this shade to give it a cute and vibrant look.
Move on to the mouth. Fill the inside of the mouth with black color, giving it a dark and contrasting appearance.
Color the tongue with a vibrant red shade to make it stand out. This will add a playful touch to your cat drawing.
Apply a soft pink hue inside the ears. This color will give the ears a nice and gentle tone.
Remember to take your time and use the colors carefully. Coloring can be a fun and creative process, so enjoy bringing your cat drawing to life with these vibrant shades!
Finally, let’s add the finishing touches to our cat drawing:
Using a very light blue color, add some dots to shade the lower part of the nose. These dots will give the nose a subtle and realistic shading effect.
And with that, kids, our cat drawing and coloring are now complete! You’ve followed along with us step by step in drawing and coloring your own picture. Well done!
We hope you had fun and enjoyed the process of creating your cat drawing. Remember, you can always add your own creative touches and make it uniquely yours. Keep practicing and exploring your artistic skills. Great job!
